Srinagar: Police in Pulwama have registered a case against a person for spreading rumours through his social media posts, a police spokesperson informed.

He said Police Station Rajpora registered a case (FIR No 23/2024 u/s 505(b)/IPC) against one Sameer Ahmed Parray, son of Abdul Rasheed Parray of Kanikoot CB Nath. Parray had recently uploaded a “false post” on his “fake” Facebook ID “Babar Azam” in which he has uploaded a photo depicting arms and ammunition and has claimed that “a new one from Pulwama has joined militancy”, police said.
