5 startups, 110 students converge to showcase UT’s innovation, talent, aspirations

New Delhi: Marking a momentous occasion for the entrepreneurial landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, the Startup Mahakumbh concluded with resounding success here at Bharat Mandapam.

Organized by the ASSOCHAM, the event witnessed the convergence of innovation, talent, and aspirations from the region. Five startups- Fastbeetle Services (Samiullah Bhat), Nentoir Technologies (Ishan Verma and Bhanu Magotra), Branding Elves Private Limited (Arush Mahajan and Jasleen Kour), Genetico Research and Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd, (Arjun Gupta) and Curve Electric (Sheikh Yameen) represented Jammu and Kashmir on the grand occasion.

The five startups seized the spotlight as they showcased their groundbreaking ventures alongside 110 students from SKUAST Jammu, Central University, Jammu, SMVDU Katra, Govt Polytechnic College, Jammu and Jammu University heralded as future entrepreneurs of Jammu and Kashmir.

All participants were facilitated by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), the nodal agency for J&K Startup Policy implementation in Jammu and Kashmir. The students

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, visited the venue on the concluding day and offered words of encouragement and motivation to the burgeoning startups and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Speaking on the occasion, Director JKEDI, Rajinder Kumar Sharma (JKAS), expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response and success of the event. He emphasised the pivotal role of startups and budding entrepreneurs in driving socio-economic development and fostering innovation in Jammu and Kashmir.

“As the curtains fall on Startup Mahakumbh, the journey towards nurturing and empowering the entrepreneurial spirit in Jammu and Kashmir continues. The success of the event reinforces the region’s commitment to leveraging innovation and entrepreneurship as catalysts for growth and prosperity,” he said.

The event served as a catalyst for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking, providing a platform for startups and students to showcase their potential and connect with investors, mentors, and industry leaders.
