Sopore: In a bid to empower young girls through sports, the Indian Army organized a spirited Badminton Tournament at Sanctorum Public School, Sopore.

The event, held at the indoor badminton court, witnessed a remarkable display of athleticism and camaraderie among the participants.

Eight teams from Sopore showcased their skills and passion for the sport, engaging in competitive matches that spanned over two days on March 18 and 19, 2024. The tournament not only showcased a high level of competition but also exemplified exemplary sportsmanship among the participants.

The league matches were fiercely contested, offering a platform for the girls to exhibit their talent and determination. The tournament was structured into singles and doubles formats, accommodating various playing styles and strategies.

In the singles category, the team from Valley Public School emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional skill and resilience. Meanwhile, in the doubles category, the duo from Amargad High School displayed outstanding teamwork and coordination, securing their triumph in the competition.

The participants were honored with prizes, recognizing their dedication and commitment to the sport. Beyond the competition, the tournament served as a platform for young girls to showcase their talent and passion for badminton, inspiring others to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
