Srinagar: In a heartening gesture of appreciation, the Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Employees Association (JKAEA) convened today to extend their gratitude to S.D. Vaidya, the Principal Secretary to Government Finance, for his instrumental role in resolving a longstanding issue concerning the promotion of Assistant Accounts Officers.

The representatives from both the Secretariat and the Jammu units of the JKAEA came together to express their thanks to S.D. Vaidya, alongside Mahesh Dass, Director General of Accounts & Treasuries, and S.L. Pandita, Advisor in Finance. Their collective efforts were acknowledged for the recently ordered placement of 62 Assistant Accounts Officers as In-charge Junior Scale Accounts Officers, who had been stagnant and awaiting promotion for over 12 years.
