Centuries ago, Nargowari was bestowed upon the fortunate souls through a lease agreement. Its enchanting vistas and tranquil surroundings make it not only a historical site but also hold immense tourism potential waiting to be explored.

The area is surrounded by quaint villages, each contributing to the cultural richness of the region. Bhatyas, Jakyas, Gondow, Budhili, Malikpura and Chanyas are the nearby villages, each with its unique charm and character. The intertwining history of these settlements adds to the beauty of NooranGowari.

Journeying through Bhalessa unveils more treasures in the form of steep slopes of Bhatyas, MotiBagra and Mashood, each an evidence to the rich historical importance of this area. The presence of the historical MehadDhar further adds a layer of fascination, its roots steeped in the annals of time.

Accessing this haven of nature’s bounty is an adventure in itself. The steep slope leading to Nargowari can be navigated via the ThathriKilhotran road at Bhatyas Malik pura. The journey to this paradise is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself.

Surprisingly, despite its historical and scenic significance, the tourism development authority is yet to fully identify and tap into the potential of NooranGowari. The untapped allure of this place beckons for recognition and preservation.

We see the historical references, prominent figures like PritamKrishanKoul have left their mark on the legacy of Nargowari. Koul’s book, “Antiquities of kangra and Chenab,” serves as a reference, offering glimpses into the rich history and cultural significance of this place.

Not only confined to literature, but the place also finds mention in the state archives department showcasing its status as a true antiquity. The acknowledgment from historical records and literature weaves a narrative of continuity, connecting the past with the present.

The wind whispers tales of centuries gone by, and the emerald greenery dances in the sunlight, carrying the essence of a place untouched by the hurried pace of the modern world. NooranGowari is a source of natural attraction, an allure and a hidden gem adding colours to the tourism industry of Jammu and kashmir.

The Dhar of Naurangri (NooranGowari) unfolded a significant chapter in 1858. Leased to RanaGangana of Pingal, these lands bore witness to the imposition of a sum of Rs 84, a decree fee handed down by Labjoo, the wazir of Bhalessa during that era.

This historical transaction, captured in the Takri records, reflects the economic and administrative intricacies of the time, showcasing the interplay between local figures and the governance structure. This place echo tales of agreements, exchanges, and the financial dynamics that shaped the Bhalessa’s rich antiquities and tourism.

Preserved within the folds of the Antiquities of Bhalessa, this episode stands as a tangible link to the past. The Takri record, now available to the State Directorate of Archives, becomes a source for contemporary enthusiasts and scholars alike to delve into the history and adventure tourism of BhalessaDoda.

The legacy embedded in the landscapes of Naurangri is a matter of debate and needs revitalization of this place in the tangible heritage of the area.

As these ancient lands bear the imprints of human transactions and historical edicts, they continue to stand resilient, inviting exploration and contemplation. The story of the Dhar etched in Takri records and visually narrated through photographs, becomes a living evidence to the intricate tapestry of Bhalessa’s past.

Nargowari stands as evidence to the enduring beauty of nature and the rich historical legacy of Bhalessa. As visitors embark on a journey to this lush green upland, they not only see geographical terrains but also navigate through the pages of history, adding their own chapter to the evolving story of Nargowari located in Chilly pingalBhalessaDoda.

Nargowari needs to be brought under the preview of the schemes.of the tourism and museum departments so as to exhibit its splendor. The inner approach roads to the place is imperative viz a viz tourism reception centre at Chilly pinger to pave a way to the visitors to visit this place and enjoy its natural charm. It can bring economic development to this area.
