While interacting with local officials and other stakeholders, she directed the officers to address grievances related to SBM-G on priority. She emphasized on the importance of community participation in maintaining the infrastructure and encouraged locals to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean.

The DG expressed satisfaction over the progress made under SBM-G in the Ganderbal district. She highlighted that it is remarkable to know that people are paying the door-to-door collection user charges, which would definitely benefit society for a larger goal.

She praised the efforts of local authorities and urged them to continue working towards achieving the goals of the mission.

During the visit, the DG was briefed on the mission’s continuous efforts to improve rural sanitation and hygiene in the district.

Deputy Director Rural Sanitation, Kashmir, ACD Ganderbal, ACP Ganderbal, BDOs of Ganderbal, Lar and Kangan and the Project Management Unit team also accompanied the DG during the visit.
