Terrorist associate held in Baramulla: Police

Baramulla: Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended one “terrorist associate” in the district.

Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that on a specific input, a joint ‘naka’ was established at Chinar Crossing Pattan by police, and the troops of 2nd Bn SSB and Army’s 29 RR.

During checking, one person identified as Mehraj ud din Bhat, son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, resident of Mundyari Pattan was apprehended. During his personal search, one live hand-grenade was recovered from his possession, police said, adding a case has been registered in this regard for investigation.
