Jammu marathoners showcase exceptional talent, grit at 9th New Delhi Marathon

NEW DELHI: The marathoners of Jammu city today showcased exceptional talent and grit during the ninth edition of the New Delhi Marathon organized by the Athletics Federation of India and Fit India.

The Jammu marathoners like Aman Gupta, Abhishake Gupta, Sudhir Aaand, Surinder Kahaniya, Jaideep Singh, and Ajay Gandotra performed exceptionally during the marathon and brought laurels to Jammu City.

Aman Gupta led the marathoners with an outstanding finish time of 3 hours and 30 minutes, setting a new standard of excellence, followed closely behind by Abhishake Gupta who completed the marathon in 4 hours and 35 minutes.

Similarly, Sudhir Aaand and Surinder Kahaniya exemplified remarkable grit and resilience, finishing the marathon in 3 hours and 37 minutes and 4 hours and 15 minutes respectively. Surinder Kahaniya completed the marathon in 4 hours and 15 minutes, showcasing his strategic approach to the race.

In the Half Marathon category, Jaideep Singh and Ajay Gandotra stood out by achieving their personal best times. Jaideep Singh’s impressive performance highlighted the depth of talent within Jammu’s running community, while Ajay Gandotra’s achievement at 58 years of age is truly commendable, inspiring individuals of all ages to pursue their passion for running.

Additionally, other participants like Sukhpal, Senior KAS, Vishal Kapoor, Vice President Wipro, Sukreet Gupta and many others excelled in the Half Marathon, achieving their personal best timings, and bringing laurels to the entire Jammu city.

Notably, the outstanding performances of Jammu marathoners not only brought glory to the city but also served as an inspiration to aspiring athletes nationwide. The dedication, resilience, and sportsmanship exhibited by Jammu City’s marathoners epitomizes the spirit of the sport, fostering a culture of fitness and excellence within the community. ‎
