Srinagar: In a bid to streamline the process for students eager to engage in film production activities, the Higher Education (HE) Department of Jammu and Kashmir has issued Circular No: 02-HE of 2024, dated February 17, 2024, directing all universities and colleges in the region to expedite permissions and recommendations for shooting short films and videos.

The circular highlighted the persistent delays faced by students in obtaining necessary approvals from their respective institutions, hindering their creative endeavors. Recognizing the paramount importance of film shooting as a catalyst for multifaceted learning experiences, the directive emphasized the role of such activities in nurturing creativity, fostering collaboration, honing technical skills, stimulating critical thinking, and enhancing career readiness among students.
