Director Agriculture chairs review meeting at Kupwara

SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, today conducted an extensive visit to district Kupwara and chaired a review meeting with officers and officials of the district.

The review meeting was aimed at evaluating the physical and financial progress of the ongoing projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

Addressing the meeting, the Director of Agriculture highlighted the importance of different projects under (HADP). He said the project under HADP has been designed in such a way that the small and marginal farmers could establish their agriculture income-based units.

He acknowledged the significance of awareness among the farming community and asked the officers to sensitize and encourage the framers to avail benefits of various projects under (HADP). He impressed upon the officers to put in all the efforts and ensure that all the set targets under different projects of (HADP) are achieved in a time-bound manner.

The Director of Agriculture asked the officers of agriculture and allied departments to work in a coordinated manner to successfully implement HADP.

Later, the Director visited the agriculture complex Sopore and interacted with the concerned officers. He asked the officers to ensure the saturation under different schemes including PMKISAN.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, SDAO Kupwara, Tangdar, AEOs and other officers of the district were present in the meeting.
