CEO SSCL reviews operations, progress of Srinagar Smart City Ltd’s ICCC

SRINAGAR: In a proactive move towards enhancing efficiency in Urban Services, the Chief Executive Officer of Srinagar Smart City Ltd. Dr Owais Ahmed today convened a comprehensive meeting to review the operations and progress of the Srinagar Smart City Ltd’s Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), Zainakote Srinagar.

During the meeting, the CEO emphasized the pivotal role of the ICCC in encouraging a technologically advanced and sustainable urban ecosystem in Srinagar.

The convergence of various smart solutions within the ICCC was highlighted as a key driver in optimizing city services, public safety, and infrastructure management viz. ITMS-Integrated Traffic Management System, IVMS-Video Surveillance, ATCS-Adaptive Traffic Management System, Fire Department, EWS/CAD (Early Warning System/Computer Aided Dispatch), GIS- Geographic Information System, PBS-Public Bike Sharing, Water Quality Monitoring, Noise Level Monitoring, Environment Management, SMS Integrations, mySrinagar Mobile Application and VMD-Variable Message Displays.

Key discussions during the meeting included plans for future expansion, integration of new technologies, and enhancing the operational efficiency of the ICCC. The CEO expressed confidence in the continued progress of the Srinagar Smart City projects and reaffirmed the organization’s unwavering support towards its success.

He directed to establish a Call Centre at ICCC for citizen-centric services which will keep liaison with all line departments and Citizens for Grievance Redressal Mechanism on a single Platform.

The CEO’s engagement and hands-on approach towards the development of Srinagar Smart City’s Mission underscores Smart City’s commitment to drive innovation and sustainable urban growth.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared vision ‘to transform Srinagar into an eco-friendly and resilient and socio-economically vibrant city that celebrates its natural and cultural heritage, creating Harmony and Opportunities for all’ a future-ready smart city.
