Dr Tariq wins Best Language Film Award at MANAGE Agri Film Festival-2023

BANDIPORA: The MANAGE Agri Film Festival 2023, held at MANAGE, Hyderabad on February 22, 2024, witnessed the recognition of excellence in the agricultural film industry, with Dr Tariq Sultan, Programme Coordinator at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bandipora-1, being honoured with the esteemed Best Language Film Award.

Dr Tariq was honoured for the insightful film titled ‘Climate Resilient Village and Impact of Village Institutions in Bandipora District’.

The award, accompanied by a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a certificate, and a memento, was presented to Dr Tariq Sultan by Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, IAS, Addl Secretary Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Govt of India and Dr P. Chandra Shekara, Director General MANAGE Hyderabad in recognition of his outstanding contribution to showcasing agricultural practices and community resilience in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The exceptional contribution to the field of agriculture by Dr Tariq through the medium of film was acknowledged by the experts at the national level.

The recognition of the said film underscores its significance in promoting awareness and fostering dialogue on climate change adaptation and rural development in the region.

By documenting the resilience of villages and the effectiveness of community institutions, the film serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, agricultural practitioners, and stakeholders working towards building resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.
