Former Legislator from Lolab Peer Abdul Ghani passes away

Srinagar: Alhaj Peer Abdul Ghani Shah, the former Legislator from Lolab Constituency, has passed away at the age of ninety.

He had been ailing for some time and breathed his last at his residence in Batpora Lalpora.

The Namaz-e-Jannaza will be held on Friday at his ancestral graveyard.

Shah, renowned for his social and philanthropic endeavors, served as MLA from 1983-1987 and was also the President of the Auqaaf Islamia Lalpora.

Various segments of society have expressed their condolences to the Shah family.
