Srinagar: Authorities on Wednesday issued fresh avalanche warning for ten districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
J&K Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) in an advisory said that avalanches with low danger level are likely to occur above 2000 meters over Anantnag and Kulgam districts in next 24 hours. It also said that avalanches with medium danger level are likely to occur above 2400 meters over Bandipora and Baramulla districts in next 24 hours.
The advisory further said that avalanches with high dander level are likely to occur above 2000 meters over Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban, Kupwara and Ganderbal districts in next 24 hours.
The advisory advised people of respective areas to take precautions and avoid venturing into the avalanche-prone areas. It held that in case of any help people can dial 112.
