NHRC Special Monitor visits Vessu, Kashmiri Pandit Colony

KULGAM: Rakesh Asthana, IPS (Retd.) Special Monitor of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), today conducted a visit to Vessu, Kashmiri Pandit Colony.

During the visit, the Special Monitor engaged with the colony’s inhabitants and attentively listened to their issues and demands.

DIG South Kashmir, Altaf Ahmad Khan; Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan; Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Syeed Fakhruddin Hamid; SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal and other officers also attended the event.

The inhabitants of the Colony had a detailed discussion with Shri Asthana about the various issues and matters.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam briefed the Special Monitor NHRC about the current status of migrant colonies coming up at Mirhama, Chawgam and Vessu.
