NHM Mission Director visits 108 Emergency Response Center

JAMMU: Mission Director NHM, Nazim Zai Khan, today visited the Emergency Response Centre of 108 Jammu and Kashmir Emergency Medical Services, established by BVG India in Channi Himmat.

During the visit, the Mission Director was apprised that a total of 203 fully equipped ambulances are operating under the 108 service, ensuring prompt healthcare services at the doorsteps of the general public. He was informed that the 108 ambulance service has served 2,77,798 patients since its inception in the UT while 56055 patients have been served through 102 service.

The Mission Director assessed the functioning of the 108 emergency response centre and interacted with the employees seeking feedback on services being extended to the public there. He commended the centre for providing round-the-clock ambulance services to the people of UT Jammu and Kashmir.

He was also shown an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance and was briefed about the functioning of the biomedical equipment retrofitted in the utility.
