The certification was given to UPHC Hazratbal after the facility underwent virtual examinations and documentation verification as part of the NQAS certification assessment by empanelled external assessors deployed from NHSRC MoHFW GOI.

The UPHC Hazratbal tops in External Assessment (EA) of UPHCs by obtaining the highest EA score of 93.09% among all 20 Districts of J&K for the year 2022-2023 for showing exemplary performance in adhering to standard protocols of cleanliness and infection control.

Commenting on the Award, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat said that the sincere efforts and hard work put in by our dedicated staff of UPHC Hazratbal have been recognised.

The DC congratulated BMO, Hazratbal, Dr. Farah Shafi and other Staff members of the UPHC and urged them to work with added zeal and dedication and treat patients in a more compassionate way. He said this award has brought along more responsibilities on their shoulders to uphold High Standards of Quality, protect patient rights and raise awareness at the health facility.

The DC also stressed other Health facilities to improvise their ranks which shapes our perception of how our hospitals and other health institutions will look. Besides, it also creates confidence among patients in our health institutions for treatment.
