Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said a police party at Furrah intercepted and later arrested Zahid Ahmad Shan, son of Ghulam Mohammad Shan of Chirhama after 90 grams of cannabis was recovered from his possession.
One Mudasir Ahmad Wani, son of Abdul Rashid Wani of Yarhole Babapora was arrested at Bonigam after three kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered with regard to both arrests, police said.
