Addressing the participants, police officers and personnel the DGP J&K complimented and felicitated organisers for the initiative, saying that it is directly connected with saving the lives of the road users including the drivers. He also complimented citizens for supporting such initiatives in the larger interest of the community.

He said that death in road accidents is a very avoidable loss of lives and it is a very painful situation when a number of people get handicapped. Multiple stakeholders have to come together to address this issue, the DGP said.

The DGP J&K assured that J&K Police along with other stakeholders especially the licence issuing authority will continue to work on analysing the cause of accidents and wherever necessary regulatory changes will be made for safe road usage. I am sure with good intentions and sincerity the situation will improve, the DGP added.

Jammu Three Sixty founder Vivek Mahajan expressed his gratitude to the DGP, J&K for the support in organising the rally. He thanked the participants and the sponsors.

ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain, DIG Traffic Jammu, Shreedhar Patil, SSP Jammu Vinod Kumar, SSP Traffic Jammu Faisal Qureshi, AIG (T&P), PHQ Manoj Kumar Pandith and officers of Traffic police and District Police were present on the occasion.

The rally was an attempt on the part of the law enforcement departments, district administration and the community aimed at the promotion of crucial messages regarding safe road practices and responsible driving behaviour.
