Justice Sreedharan unfurls National Flag, takes salute at HC Wing of Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The 75th Republic Day was today celebrated in the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar Wing with immense enthusiasm and full patriotic zeal & fervour.

The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Justice Atul Sreedharan, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, who took salute at the March Past followed by the playing of the National Anthem/patriotic tunes by the Band.

The event was also graced by Justice Sanjay Dhar, Judge, High Court of J&K and Ladakh.

Besides, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Member, J&K Special Tribunal, Srinagar; Jawad Ahmad, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar; Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Registrar Judicial Srinagar Wing, officers of police and administration, Senior Additional Advocate Generals and other law officers as well as the officers/ officials of the Srinagar Wing of the Hon’ble High Court, also attended the event.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, District & Sessions Judge, Member (Judicial) of the Tribunal at Srinagar, who was also chief guest hoisted and unfurled the National Flag within the premises of the Tribunal at Srinagar.

The function was attended to by the officers, officials and the CRPF personnel of B-28 BN.

The chief guest while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of the day. He spoke that it was on this Day in 1950 that our Country India became a Republic and adopted its own Constitution guaranteeing democracy, fundamental rights and directive principles of State Policy.

He further said that this day reminds us about the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters and urges us to work collectively with harmony, responsibility and dedication for the development, prosperity, integrity and sovereignty of our Country.
