Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman informed Sunday.
He said during patrolling at Wanpoh, police intercepted and later arrested one Zubair Ahmad Dar, son of Nazir Ahmad Dar of Batingoo, Anantnag, after 8 grams of heroin-like contraband substance, a digital weighing machine and a cash of Rs 700, believed to be the proceeds of narcotics, were recovered from his possession. A case has been registered in this regard.
