Saurabh Bhagat holds public darbar at Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Commissioner Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Saurabh Bhagat, today presided over a public darbar at Baramulla to take stock of issues and concerns of locals besides assessing development scenarios in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, was also present on the occasion.

During the interactive session, the people raised various issues including the macadamization of roads, completion of Mazbug bridge, beautification of river banks, upgradation of NTPHC at Bagh Islam Baramulla and installation of solar panels in various schools of far-flung areas of the district.

The Commissioner Secretary expressed his commitment towards addressing the concerns raised by the public during the event. He stated, “The public darbar serves as a direct channel for us to understand the needs of the community. We are dedicated to working collaboratively towards enhancing infrastructure and services in the district.”

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of such forums in satiating the development aspirations of the common masses. The open dialogue during the Public Darbar is instrumental in formulating action plans that truly reflect the needs of the people, he added.

The Commissioner Secretary assured the participants that the administration would work earnestly towards ensuring tangible solutions that contribute towards the overall progress and well-being of the community.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Chief Planning Officer, Javid Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad and other district officers besides a huge gathering of the general public participated in the public darbar.
