DC Kupwara chairs reviews saturation of KCC, AIFC

KUPWARA: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting to review the saturation of prestigious Kisan credit cards (KCC) and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Centres (AIFC) in the district.

Chief Agriculture Officer, Kupwara apprised the chair that 16000 applications of PM-Kisan beneficiaries who have not availed KCC are being saturated for which special KCC/ PM-Kisan camps are being conducted in all 385 Panchayats of the district for 100 % saturation of both the flagship schemes.

DDC gave a deadline of January 15 to saturate PM-Kisan beneficiaries with KCC and asked officers to stick to the timeline as KCC and PM-Kisan saturation are important initiatives.

Emphasizing the importance of these initiatives, the DDC impressed upon the Officers to work with added dedication and close coordination and speed up the process of registration of beneficiaries.

The DDC directed the Chief Agriculture Officer to share the calendar of Special KCC/PM-Kisan camps with line departments and also submit a report concerning the on-spot registration of KCC beneficiaries to the DDC’s office daily.

The meeting aimed to strategize and expedite the implementation of these schemes for the benefit of the farming community in the Kupwara district.

The meeting was attended by ACR Kupwara, Chief Agriculture Officer, LDM, J&K Bank, Officers of line departments and district-level representatives of bankers.
