Kulgam: A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in Hadigan area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police in a post on X, said that “Encounter has started at Hadigam area of Kulgam district. Kulgam Police ,Army and crpf are on the job. Further details shall follow.”—(KNO)
