3 drug peddlers held in Bla

Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman informed Tuesday.

During patrolling at Fruit Mandi crossing near Chakrodikhan Sopore, police intercepted and later arrested one Ghulam Rasool Najar alias Mudasir, son of Ghulam Mohi-u-din Najar of Mumkak Sopore, after 300 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from his possession, spokesman said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.

At Chellan Boniyar 30 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from the possession of Bashir Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Hassan of Bimyar Boniyar, following which he was arrested.

At Harthrat Pattan 105 grams of cannabis powder was recovered from the possession of Firdous Ahmad Teli, alias Bhai, son of Ali Mohammad resident of Khore Sherabad Pattan. He was also arrested and a case registered, police said.
