Anantnag: To boost the sports activities in District Anantnag and to inculcate the sports spirit among the youth Anantnag Police had organised volleyball tournaments for both boys and girls in Anantnag which concluded at DPL Anantnag.
In the girls’ tournament, a total of 10 teams participated and the final match was played between GDC Khanabal and GDC Uttrasoo which was won by GDC Khanabal and in the girls’ tournament 8 teams participated and the final match was played between GDC Women’s Anantnag and Blue Volleyball club Anantnag which was won by Blue Volleyball Club.
SSP Anantnag Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy distributed cash prizes/trophies to the Winner and Runner up teams. After the culmination of the presentation ceremony, while interacting with the participants, the SSP Anantnag expressed immense happiness with the sports activities being conducted in the district from time to time. He promised that many more such tournaments would be organised in future also and JKP would make all the efforts it can, in encouraging the sports talent of the District.
