JKPCC observes 139th Foundation Day of Indian National Congress

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Thursday observed the 139th Foundation Day of INC (Indian National Congress) at the Srinagar Party Office and extended wishes to the party workers and supporters across the country.

In an extraordinary function held at the Srinagar Party office, JKPCC Senior Vice President G.N.Monga hoisted the Party flag to mark the 139th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress and saluted the selfless services and sacrifices of the party towards the Nation before and after the independence. Congress leaders and workers greeted each other on this occasion while pledging to carry forward the Party’s mission to strengthen unity, and harmony and serve people, which is the core of INC.

After hoisting the Party flag, G.N.Monga said the Foundation Day reflects the selfless services and sacrifices of the Indian National Congress which has given its blood for the integrity and sovereignty of the country. Congress Party’s great contributions to the freedom struggle and inclusive development of the Nation shall continue to remain unmatchable, the Party shall remain committed to continue to work vigorously to safeguard the Nation from all threats, Monga said.

The Indian National Congress was founded on December 28, 1885, during 138 years of service the Party worked tirelessly to ensure a dignified and prosperous life for all Indians irrespective of their colour or religion. Congress is not only a political front but a movement which brought revolution in the country, especially on economic, development, defence, empowerment of people and many other fronts and made India progressive and prosperous.

On this occasion JKPCC Sr.Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, Vice Presidents Gulsher Khan, and Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, Gen Secretaries Shameema Iqbal, Bashir Ahmad Khan, District Presidents Imtiyaz Khan, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Irshad Budoo, PCC Secretary Asif Beigh, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, PYC General Secretary Umer Fayaz, Shameema Mir, Saira, Rahila, Seva Dal Workers and others.
