Gool: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Monday said that Congress is fully prepared for the upcoming challenges, especially the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it will continue to fight for people’s rights and will leave no stone unturned to seek redressal of their grievances.

“BJP has nothing to sell to the people of J&K as it has failed people of J&K on all fronts besides depriving them of their identity & rights, denying them of their basic democratic rights of choosing their representatives,” said Wani.

He made these comments while addressing a well-attended Congress Workers meeting of Gool Tehsil in the Banihal segment of Ramban District in which Senior Leaders of PCC and DCC were present.

Addressing the meeting, JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani urged the Party workers to gear up for the upcoming challenges, especially the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections and will leave no stone unturned to further strengthen the party at the grassroots, as people have expectations from Congress and want to get rid of BJP, which is responsible for the hardships especially lack of development, extreme unemployment and various other issues confronting people.

JKPCC Chief slammed the J&K Govt for the peak unemployment besides expressing concern over the various local issues concerning people especially electricity tariff being charged to public forcefully despite the poor supply of electricity. 

He said that people are feeling unheard and unrepresented in the absence of the popular Govt and laid emphasizes on the restoration of the democratic process in the J&K to ensure that people elect their representatives, who could ensure redressal of their grievances at the appropriate forum. “Congress will continue to fight against BJP’s anti-people and divisive policies, adding that the poll verdicts in three States have further strengthened the party’s resolve to fight against BJP’s communal and divisive agenda.”

Senior Congress leaders and PCC Office bearers Ashok Kumar Dogra, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khaday, General Secretaries PCC, DCC President Pervez Ahmad Wani, Block Presidents, Omkar Singh, Zakir Wani, Syed Dar, Mahila Leader Parveena and Shamas Din Wani also addressed the meeting.
