Mandeep Kaur assures timely action on public grievances, demands

PATTAN (BARAMULLA): Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD), Mandeep Kour, today undertook a visit to Pattan Baramulla and presided over a day-long Public Darbar for a thorough evaluation of public grievances.

Deputy Commissioner, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar; Secretary in RDD, Tariq Ahmad Zargar; Director RDD, Shabir Hussain Bhat, ACR, SDMs, and PRI representatives besides locals attended the Public Darbar.

The Public Darbar witnessed a massive turnout from the community, where individuals actively engaged with the officer, highlighting pertinent developmental concerns and advocating for intervention to address these pressing issues.

The PRIs and general public put forth the prevalent demands and grievances centred around R&B, Education, PDD, Health, Social Welfare and various related departments pertaining to the sub-division Pattan. People earnestly appealed to the Commissioner Secretary for prompt intervention to expedite the resolution of these issues.

While addressing the gathering, the Commissioner Secretary emphasized that the core objective behind organizing the Public Darbar is to establish a seamless connection between the administration and the Public. She further underlined that the aim of the Public Darbar revolves around bringing the administration directly to the doorsteps of the people.

Mandeep Kour, acknowledging the grievances raised by the public, provided prompt redressal to several of the issues and assured prompt action by directing these concerns to the respective departments for immediate attention.

The Commissioner Secretary issued immediate directions to the officers present, instructing them to address and expedite the resolution of all issues highlighted by the delegations and individuals.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Baramulla provided an update on the developmental projects being carried out in the sub-division Pattan to the Commissioner Secretary.

She apprised the Commissioner Secretary that work is in progress on the National Highway at a remarkable rate and Bypass Road in Pattan would further help in smoothening traffic flow in the area.
