Union Joint Secretary reviews, finalizes preparations for “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra”

ANANTNAG: Union Joint Secretary Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region (DONER), Angshuman Dey, designated District Prabhari Officer for Anantnag, today visited the district and reviewed the ongoing “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” preparations.

Deputy Commissioner, S F Hamid, briefed the Prabhari Officer about the district plan for the upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The plan included the formation of a transport and route schedule, the appointment of a nodal person and the training of the stakeholders about various facets of the Sankalp Yatra.

Union Joint Secretary interacted with the district officers and other stakeholders involved in the Yatra and had a detailed assessment of the arrangements.

The threadbare discussions focused on evaluating the impact of the initiative on various aspects such as infrastructure development, community engagement, and overall socio-economic upliftment.

He expressed satisfaction over the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved in the initiative. He highlighted the importance of sustained community participation and emphasized the need for continued coordination among government agencies, local authorities and the public to ensure the success of the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra”.

Union Joint Secretary stressed upon the officers to effectively coordinate the arrangements for the Yatra besides organizing training sessions for the officers and resource persons of line departments.

During the meeting, various schemes were discussed and slated for promotion including PM Vishwakarma, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Mudra Loan, PMEGP, Mumkin, Poshan Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), PM Kisan Saman, Kisan Credit Card, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Har Ghar Jal – Jal Jeevan Mission, etc.

Prabhari Officer expressed confidence in the positive impact of the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” and reiterated the government’s commitment towards holistic development of Anantnag district.

Among others, ADDC, ADC, Joint Director Planning, ACR, DPO ICDS, ASP, ACP, ACD, DPO, BDOs and other district officers attended the meeting.
