IGP Kmr inaugurates open-air gymnasium in Police Housing Colony Bemina
Srinagar: IGP Kashmir V. K Birdi IPS inaugurated an open-air gymnasium in Police Housing Colony Bemina and dedicated it to all the police families residing in the colony.
On the occasion DIG CKR Sujit Kumar IPS, Addl. SP West Zone Amit Verma, SDPO West Shahjahan and other police officers were present. Besides, many inhabitants of the colony, particularly children were also present on the occasion.
Notably, the gym has been established under the “Civic Action Program” of J&K Police Department by Range Police Hqrs Srinagar.
IGP Kashmir while interacting with children present on the occasion, expressed the hope that J&K Police can establish more such facilities for our officials as well as their families.
The officer also took the opportunity to speak with some of the kin of the Police families to enquire about their well-being and any of the problems they may be facing and IGP Kashmir assured them that their genuine grievance will be addressed on priority.
Pertinent to mention that this was the first visit of IGP Kashmir to the colony since he took over his office
