2 held for theft in Ganderbal
Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal have solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons and recovered stolen property from their possession, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
Acting on a complaint by one Farooq Ahmad Ganie of Kurhama Ganderbal about the theft of spare parts worth lakhs of rupees from his warehouse located at Benhama Lar, police after registering a formal case apprehended one suspected person Nadeem Khan, son of Wajid Khan of Braeli UP.
During questioning, accused Nadeem confessed that he alongwith Mohammad Rafiq Kanna, son of Mohammad Yousuf Kanna of Sher Colony Sopore, have stolen spare parts from the warehouse, police said.
Both the accused persons were arrested and upon their disclosure, stolen spare parts worth over Rs 9 lakhs were recovered, police said.
