Kamal asks Admin to expedite its response to post-snowfall exigencies

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal on Friday impressed upon the divisional administration to expedite its response in the wake of the snowfall across Kashmir.

In a statement released from the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar Kamal asked the administration to expedite the restoration of power, roads for traffic movement and Water supply schemes in all the districts of Kashmir and upper reaches of Jammu division.

He also impressed upon the divisional administration to take stock of the availability of necessary edibles including LPG, Kerosene oil, and other household items in the far-flung areas and upper reaches of North, South, Central Kashmir, and upper reaches of Jammu division.

Kamal also asked the concerned departments to expedite the process of repairing damaged electric transformers on a priority basis.

He also asked the district commissioners to acquire briefs from concerned PDD, PHE, and FCSCA officials about the status of the restoration of power supply, clearance of snow from the roads, adequacy of food items, fuel, water supply, availability of medicines and other basic amenities in the far-flung areas.
