JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) marked a significant presence at the CII Chandigarh Fair 2023, held at Parade Ground, Chandigarh. The event served as a platform to showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage and exceptional craftsmanship of local artisans, leaving an indelible impression on attendees.

CII Chandigarh Fair 2023 witnessed a substantial footfall as visitors from all walks of life flocked to explore the vibrant and diverse array of products on display at the JKTPO stall. With a wide range of handcrafted items and traditional specialities, the organization’s representation at the fair was nothing short of spectacular.

JKTPO had allocated 20 stalls in this fair for local exhibitors and artisans to exhibit their products including luxurious pashmina shawls and stoles, exquisite handwoven carpets, world-famous Kashmiri saffron, stunning Papier-mâché products and hand-embroidered garments with intricate Kashmiri patterns.

Visitors to the JKTPO stalls had the opportunity to not only witness these exquisite products but also to engage with the artisans themselves. The stories behind each creation and the dedication of craftspeople were shared with enthusiasm, creating a unique and immersive experience for attendees.

The JKTPO team expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response they received. The fair provided a platform to bridge cultures and connect local artisans with a broader audience, contributing towards the economic growth and empowerment of the region’s skilled workforce.
