Srinagar: Police in Bandipora have frozen seven bank accounts of a “notorious” narcotics smuggler and his family, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
“Confirmation order for freezing of seven bank accounts having savings of Rs 9,60,759 belonging to a narcotics smuggler Khursheed Ahmad Waza, son of Ghulam Ahmad Waza of Bagh Bandipora and his family was received today from the Competent Authority & Administrator, SAFEM (New Delhi). All these liquid assets were acquired by the accused through the sale of illegal narcotic substances,” police said.
