Football Triumph in Pre-Quarter and Quarter Finals In a remarkable display of footballing prowess, UT J&K embarked on a journey of double triumph.

The morning began with the Pre Quarter Final match against Bihar, where they showcased their dominance on the field. Facing an opponent with determination, UT J&K emerged victorious with an impressive performance. However, the footballing brilliance of UT J&K didn’t end there.

In the evening, they locked horns with a formidable UP State team in the quarter-finals. The pitch at Polo Ground Stadium was the stage for an epic showdown, filled with emotions and spectacular moments. Despite facing injuries within their camp, UT J&K displayed an unwavering spirit and a relentless commitment to the game.

The match left spectators in awe as UT J&K triumphed over UP, securing a Semifinal berth with a convincing 2-0 victory. This resounding win is a testament to the footballing prowess of the host team, whose journey in the tournament has become an inspiration for sports enthusiasts nationwide.

Volleyball Dominance in Pre-Quarter Final: UT J&K’s excellence wasn’t confined to the football pitch alone. In a parallel feat of sporting brilliance, their volleyball team demonstrated remarkable skill and precision in the Pre-Quarter Finals. Facing a strong Delhi UT side, UT J&K’s volleyball team showcased their dominance with a commanding 3-0 set victory.

The match was a live spectacle, telecasted on the official Facebook channel of Youth Services & Sports J&K, further amplifying their achievement. Meanwhile Joint Director of the Department Waseem Raja on Friday visited different venues and took stock of the arrangements.

As the 67th National School Games progresses, UT Jammu and Kashmir’s sporting dominance is indisputable. Their remarkable journey continues to capture the hearts of fans, not only in football but also across various disciplines. With the Semifinals on the horizon, UT J&K’s athletes are poised to etch their names in the annals of sporting history.

The School nationals in twin games are being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India at Srinagar.

The concluding ceremony cum medal distribution function of the sports event is scheduled for 4th October at TRC Synthetic Football Turf.
