Since Saturday morning, passion was high as locals came out in large numbers to support Real Kashmir FC in their I-League match against Rajasthan United FC.

With growing excitement, the spectators enthusiastically cheered for their team. Both teams made efforts to score a goal in the initial stage but could not manage to turn chances into goals. The home team’s goalkeeper, who is a local, made stunning saves.

Fueled by the passionate crowd, RKFC maintained relentless pressure on the visiting team.

Their defence held firm and their attack was formidable. In the first half, no team could score a goal.

However, in the second half the home team did not disappoint their fans, as they scored two goals. First, it was Wayne Vaz who scored a goal. Later, Shaher Shaheen added one more goal.

The crowd erupted in celebration as they rose to their feet and cheered for their team. Some foreigners had also come to watch the match.

Police had made adequate security arrangements to ensure there was no trouble.

The RKFC will play its second match on November 04 against TRAU at TRC Srinagar.

The I League is one of the top football leagues of the country in which international and national players are participating. For the season 2023-2024, at least 13 teams from across the country are participating and will be played for the next five months. From J&K, RKFC is the only club qualified to play in the I-League and is owned by Sandeep Chatoo.
