Srinagar Triumphs in Inter District Provincial Level Badminton Tournament

SRINAGAR: Srinagar’s young badminton talent shined brightly in the Inter District Provincial Level Badminton Tournament for girls in the under 14-17 age category.

The tournament, held at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla, witnessed Srinagar’s exceptional performance, securing victories in both the under 14 and under 17 categories.

In a thrilling showdown, the under-14 final featured an intense match between Srinagar and Pulwama. Srinagar’s players displayed remarkable skills, emerging as the champions in the under-14 category.

The under-17 category was equally enthralling as Srinagar once again took the spotlight, triumphing over Pulwama in a highly competitive semi-final match. Srinagar’s players showcased their brilliance, clinching the under-17 title in the Inter District Provincial Level Badminton Competition.

Jatinder Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Baramulla, and Zonal Physical Education Officers were present on the eve of finals. Trophies and certificates were awarded to both the winning and runner-up teams, acknowledging their exceptional achievements.

Tomorrow, the excitement shall continue with the under-19 girls’ competition scheduled to take place at the same venue.
