Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Awantipora and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Wednesday.
He said a drug peddler identified as Ashiq Hussain Bhat, son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat of Chersoo was arrested at Chersoo when his personal search yielded 8.3 kgs of cannabis powder. A case has been registered in this regard.
