BARAMULLA: The Inter-District Provincial Level Badminton Tournament for all age groups of boys commenced today with great enthusiasm at two prominent venues viz. Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh and Jehlum Stadium, Baramulla.
This event has been organized by the Youth Services & Sports Department of Jammu and Kashmir and hosted by the District Youth Services & Sports Baramulla.
The tournament’s inaugural ceremony was graced by Jatinder Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Baramulla, who was joined by all the Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs) of the department. The day witnessed spirited competitions in the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ categories at both venues.
In his opening remarks, Jatinder Singh extended a warm welcome to all the participants, officials from different districts, and selectors. He provided words of encouragement, urging all participants to strive for excellence in the world of sports.
The Inter-District Provincial Level Badminton Tournament is set to be an exhilarating sporting spectacle, with participation from all districts of the Kashmir province. The event will run from October 19 to October 24, 2023.
