Indian Army and BMVSS collaborate for Free Artificial Limb Fitment Camp in Bla

Srinagar: A Free Artificial Limb Fitment Camp was organised by Indian Army in association with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayta Samiti (BMVSS) at Chinar Yuva, Baramulla from 16-18 Oct 2023.

This endeavour is a follow-up to a similar camp started last year and organised by the Indian Army at Baramulla in association with BMVSS wherein the specially-abled people will get a new ray of hope. An expert panel of prosthetists from BMVSS were present to ensure the best-suited fitment of limbs and callipers.

The measurements were taken during the camp as per the requirements of the beneficiaries. In addition, equipment and accessories like Auxiliary Crutches, wheelchairs, Polio Calipers and Hearing Aids were also distributed free of cost.

A total of 174 patients including children from Baramulla district benefitted during the camp. The Indian Army is steadfast in its outreach to all sections of the Awam in the valley for their betterment.
