J&K Apni Party delegation, others call on Lt Governor

Srinagar: A delegation of J&K Apni Party led by its President, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan today.

The delegation comprising Ch Zulfkar Ali, former Minister; Ch Qamar Hussain, former Legislator, along with Manzoor Hussain Shah, District President JKAP and Sarpanches from Rajouri apprised the Lt Governor on various development issues of the district.

The Lt Governor assured the members of the delegation of the appropriate redressal of the issues and demands projected by them during the interaction.

Rakesh Sharma, President Indian Newspaper Society met the Lt Governor and shared his views on the developmental scenario in Jammu Kashmir.

Later, Prof. Sudhakar Yedla, Director NIT Srinagar also called on the Lt Governor.

Meanwhile, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan and discussed various issues of public importance.

Later, Dr Abu Adil, Director of Kelley Foundation also called on the Lt Governor and briefed him on the endeavours of his organization to spread awareness on the pressing issues of water management systems. He also presented his book highlighting the challenges of water contamination and scarcity in the region to the Lt Governor.
