Farooq has not only excelled as a sportsman but also as a National Coach. His remarkable journey includes representing India at the 16th World Dragon Boat Championship held in Rayong Pattaya, Thailand, where India achieved a historic feat by clinching four medals, including the coveted Gold medal and two Bronze medals.

He previously represented India at the 12th World Dragon Boat Championship in Kunming, China, in 2017 as an ITO (International Technical Official) and as a Coach at the 14th Dragon Boat World Championship in Rayong Pattaya, Thailand, in 2019.
