India’s progress in various fields is remarkable, yet it wrestles with a disheartening reality: a dearth of eye donations. This shortage has led to a growing burden of treatable blindness, particularly concerning is corneal blindness, which affects millions. However, the Centre for Sight Group of Hospitals recognizes that amidst this challenge lies an opportunity for every individual to contribute positively even beyond their lifetime.

Addressing a prevalent misconception, that only certain individuals can contribute. In reality, those with non-corneal blindness also have the potential to give the gift of sight. As India’s organ donation participation hovers around 1%, there is immense untapped potential.
