Baramulla Police constitutes SIT to probe disappearance of Er Gurmeet Singh

Baramulla: In connection with the mysterious disappearance of Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Gurmeet Singh of the Roads and Buildings Department (R&B), Baramulla, on the evening of 25th August 2023, the Baramulla Police has taken significant step to ensure a thorough investigation into the matter by constitutinga Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DSP Hqrs Baramulla. The team comprises seasoned officers to uncover the truth behind this incident.

In collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the Indian Navy, Baramulla Police has launched an extensive search operation in the vicinity of river Jehlum, particularly near the Eco Park area. The combined efforts of these agencies aim to locate any clues that may lead to understanding Er. Gurmeet’s whereabouts.
The sudden and unexplained disappearance of Er. Gurmeet Singh has caused considerable distress and concern among his family, friends, and the Sikh community at large. The local community is rallying together to support the efforts to find him and bring an end to this distressing situation.
Meanwhile, Baramulla Police has appealed the general public for their cooperation and assistance in any possible way to aid in locating S.
