Srinagar: Police in Pulwama have arrested a “deceptive” jeweller in counterfeit gold ornaments scam, police spokesman informed Friday.
He said jeweller named Sajad Ahmed Zargar, operating a gold shop named Diamond Jewellers at Al-Ahmad complex near Shaheed Farooq Chowk Pulwama, was arrested following series of complaints that he had allegedly deceived customers with counterfeit gold ornaments and has been engaging in this fraudulent activity for long.
A case (FIR No. 210/2023) was registered at Police Station Pulwama, and a thorough investigation has been initiated, police said.
