Motorcycle collision in Siligam Aishmuqam leaves four critically injured

Anantnag: A collision between two motorcycles in Siligam Aishmuqam has left four individuals critically injured. The accident occurred earlier today, sources said.

They said the collision involved a Pulsar motorcycle bearing registration number JK03C/9176, driven by Zahid Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Munawar Bhat, a resident of Akad, and another motorcycle, a Splendor with registration number JK03K/9948, driven by Faisal Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Shafi Bhat. The impact was so forceful that both vehicles sustained substantial damage, and the riders, along with two pillion riders, were gravely injured.

The pillion riders have been identified as Amir Gulzar Bhat, son of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat, and Umar Iqbal Bhat, son of Mohd Iqbal Bhat, both residents of Mattan. The collision left all four individuals with critical injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention.

Local residents and bystanders rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Emergency services were promptly dispatched, and the injured were rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for urgent medical treatment, sources said.

A separate accident occurred on the NH44 near Arwani Bijbehara, where a scooter rider was hit by a tipper truck. The injured scooter rider was quickly attended to by locals and brought to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara. The extent of the scooter rider’s injuries is yet to be confirmed, but locals are hopeful for a swift recovery.
