Sopore: A woman was prevented from committing suicide in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
An official told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the woman was spotted by cops attempting to jump into river Jhelum at the bypass bridge in Sopore.
“After noticing her movement as doubtful cops rushed towards her and foiled her suicidal attempt,” he said.
He said that the woman will be handed over to her family after proper counseling.
