JAMMU: Officers and Officials of the Department of Tourism and Culture joined together in offering heartfelt condolences to Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary of Tourism & Culture on the demise of his father, Syed Abdul Rasheed Shah, who passed away after a brief illness.

Condolence meetings were organized at various locations, including the Tourist Reception Centre Jammu, the Department of Culture & Archives, the Department of Tourism Civil Secretariat Jammu, as well as the Tourist Reception Centre Katra and other Tourist Offices across Jammu Division.

Solidarity and sympathies were expressed to the family of Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah and special prayers were organized for the solace of the departed soul.

At Civil Secretariat Jammu, the condolence meeting was attended by senior officers of the Tourism Department and Department of Culture including S. Satnam Singh Director of Finance Tourism, S. Amarjeet Singh Special Secretary of Tourism Department, Sachin Dev Singh Additional Secretary of Tourism, Trishla Kundal Special Secretary Department of Culture, Malikzada Sheraz ul Haq Special Secretary Department of Culture and senior officers/officials of the Department of Tourism and Culture.

At TRC Jammu, the condolence meeting was attended by Vivekanand Rai Director of Tourism Jammu, and Sunaina Sharma JKAS Joint Director of Tourism Jammu along with senior officers and Officials of the Directorate of Tourism Jammu.

A solemn two-minute silence was observed to honor the memory of the deceased. While offering heartfelt condolences, prayers were held for eternal peace of the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreplaceable loss.
