DLSA Srinagar, White Globe NGO celebrate World Tribal Day

SRINAGAR: A symphony of culture, unity, and empowerment resonated through the heartlands of Dhara, Harwan, as the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar, in collaboration with the White Globe NGO, orchestrated a captivating celebration on the occasion of World Tribal Day.

Under the guidance of Chairman DLSA Srinagar, Jawad Ahmed, the event witnessed the harmonious convergence of tribal community members, penal lawyers, paralegal volunteers, and the spirited volunteers of White Globe.

The event breathed life into the ethos of diversity and inclusivity, enveloping all participants in an embrace of shared heritage.

Speaking passionately about the significance of the occasion, Jahangir Ahmad, Secretary DSLA, Srinagar stated, “World Tribal Day exemplifies our duty to honor and safeguard the cultural tapestry woven by our tribal communities. By coming together, we fortify the pillars of equality and justice.”

During the event, insightful discussions were held with regard to the welfare schemes of the Govt. for the Tribal community.

Resource Persons Adv Suhaila Ali (Panel Lawyer DLSA) Srinagar, Adv. Nadia Rashid Naik and Adv. Murtaza (NGO Kashmir Law Circle) highlighted various welfare schemes, and free legal aid available to Tribal communities.

In conjunction with the commemoration and celebration of 75 years of Independence, DLSA, Srinagar, organized a painting and debate competition at the Juvenile Observation Home, Harwan, Srinagar.

The competition served as a platform for young minds to articulate their ideas and aspirations, encouraging creativity and self-expression. The participants not only showcased their talents but also underscored the dynamic nature of India’s youth in shaping a progressive future.

As a token of appreciation, all participants in the painting and debate competition were presented with certificates, symbolizing their valuable contributions to the commemoration of India’s 75 years of Independence.
